Norwalk City Council is the legislative body for the city. Council is composed of eight members, one elected from each of the four wards and four elected at large.
Council meetings are held every Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. The first and third Tuesdays are regular sessions. Legislation is acted on at these meetings. The second and fourth Tuesdays are work sessions. All legislative powers of the City are vested in Council. Council also focuses on the City's goals, major projects, and infrastructure improvements.
